Simple Valentines Heart DIY

I finally got out my fabric, scissors and dusted off my sewing machine to make these cute hearts.. It was the perfect project to get me out of my creative slump..

These are really simple to make, even if you don't have a sewing machine, you could use a hot glue-gun instead..

• Either draw a heart template or search on Google images..   Choose your fabric . 
• Fold your fabric in half, pin in place, cut .
• sew right sides together and leave about a 2" gap for stuffing.
• turn right side out, stuff.
• sew up the gap ..

Finished :)

These make the perfect snugglies for little ones ..

:: Mini Library Tote

One of my fun accomplishments from last year was, re-kindling my love of fabric and dusting off my sewing machine.. I have a vast fabric collection a mix of kawii and pretty, so the hardest part of any sewing project is choosing the fabric.  

These cute mini totes are really easy and fun to make  (inspired by this tutorial) .

I amended the sizes to make a larger tote, Ideal for holding favourite books and trips to the library (which we visit each week) .

I loved making one, so I made another for Nylah's friend, who is also a regular visitor to the library :)

A successful hour sewing .. 

I am looking forward to ticking off many more projects on my vast to-do list this year ..
