Cards .....

Happy Saturday !!

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that every Friday morning I attend a local Craft Class..

Each week we are taught by the lovely Julie and come home with one or two projects each week.. This class though has become more than just a class, it has become a place full of support, smiling faces and laughs each week. It feels so nice to finally belong to a community of women who all embrace the same love..

Julie, has helped me in so many ways, not to mention her skills!!! I am truly thankful to have such an inspiring and talented teacher/friend/inspiration ..

So I thought it would be nice to share with you yesterdays projects.

So the projects are designed by Julie and credit must go to her for the idea ect, these are the cards that I made ..

Its great to be able to learn a new technique each week and then use that technique in my own projects ..

Speaking of projects, I have a few projects in the works that I hope to finish this weekend.

What Plans do you have this weekend ??

Handmade gifts ...

Happy Saturday :)

I am so ready for the weekend, this week has been emotionally tough.. I am looking forward to a day hibernating at home .

I have lots of projects in the works to keep me busy, not to mention 4 girls at home :)

I thought I would share with you this quick notebook I made for one of the ladies that goes to the same craft class as me, she celebrated a special birthday yesterday ..

She loves floral papers , so that was the focal point for both the card and mini notebook..

This notebook was really simple to make, I just gathered a mixture of patterned, plain and even a music sheet to make the pages inside, used a paper piecer to make 2 holes and embroidery thread to tie everything together ..

The fun part is embellishing the cover,  using up your paper scraps is ideal for this project. I also included a mini glassine bag (underneath the crochet trim) and a blue tag..

What plans do you have this weekend ???

Any crafting ??

1st Local Craft Class... Watercolour Cards

The weather is a little gloomy here today, but I just had to take some photos to show you what I made at a local craft class last night ..

I had so much fun....

The atmosphere and the other ladies were lovely, I felt right at home .

This was the first card I made, using ink as a watercolour , is a new technique for me, just shows how versatile some products can be!

This is definitely something I will experiment with on many more projects..

Here is the second card I made ...

Again same technique using different colours.. Not sure if you can tell on the photograph but the little girl is layered so it gives a 3d effect.

Not only did I learn a few helpful hints and tips, it was so nice to enjoy a little bit of me time. It was equally as nice to spend it with people how enjoy the same things too!

Looking forward to next week already ;)

Happy crafting
