Midweek ....

Whilst I sit on my couch enjoying some snuggles with my sleepy 2 year old, I thought I'd share a quick photo while i wait for her eyes to give in and close ....

Later today I have a Doctors appointment for my daughters injections, my aunty is coming for dinner and I have a few projects to finish off for a Design Team Call..

Now that the girls are back at school, I am still trying to figure out a Schedule that works, after the long summer holidays I haven't quite got back into the swing of things..

But Yay!!! half way through the week {already}

This is the last weekend, of the long summer holidays. Its kinda bitter sweet as part of me is eager to get back into a routine and enjoy some quality time creating, whilst I know i will miss the girls and the constant flow of noise and laughter..

Today is a day for relaxing with tidying up thrown into the mix , comfy clothes and no make up ;)

Yellow, is my all-time favourite colour ( hence why lemon is part of my blog title). It makes a lovely complimentary colour. It look gorgeous with this smokey grey colour.Not to mention that Vase is to die for !!

I recently found where to purchase this Tim Holtz clock and lets just say it is on my wish list... I think the possibilities are endless and could be switched to go with each season ..

Shoes, we have been shoe shopping for back to school, lets just say shopping with 4 girls ages 11,9,6 and 2 is no easy task...

Video Games, this week the girls have played (not always together) on the PS3.

Yummy chocolate pizza at my friends house this week, it has inspired me to have a go at making my own, chocolate, strawberries and cream , my idea of heaven .. yum yum !!

Feeling .....

Photos, i recently ordered from Origrami . They came yesterday and i couldn't be happier, looking forward to including the prints in mini albums and layouts..

Hope you have had a great week ???? This week has been a lot calmer and I have been able to joy some crafting with the girls and having no real plans, just enjoying the moment..

I rarely have any time for sewing, these days .... which makes me sad, so i have been looking for simple projects to complete and i love these fabric flowers, they could also double up for mixed media embellishments.

Lots of ideas for my Art Journal, i love experimenting with different mediums, colours and embellishments an Art Journal is the perfect place to keep everything together, i started a Pinterest board , which you can see here....

Its still the summer holidays, so mostly i hear my girls, its been hard at times but i love having them home all day.

One of my favourite lunches is Jacket potato with cheese and mushroom ( i have this almost everyday)

Kitchen work surfaces, yeap we are looking into re-doing our kitchen, which is kinda fun... but i want to make sure that i get it right and that i am completely happy before we commit to anything ...

The past couple of weeks have been really busy and i have been unable to post my usual "Sunday Inspiration" post ..

Today is calmer and i am looking forward to a much more relaxing Sunday, well as relaxing as it can be ;)

Art Journaling, i am currently working on my own art journal at a local class. I love how it is allowing me to experiment with different mediums and colours and define my own style , looking forward to sharing with you all soon :)

I am always on the look out for new, simple, tasty dinner ideas that the girls will like too.. these sound perfect ;)

Dump 1 envelope of taco seasoning, 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts a jar of salsa in the crockpot, stir and cook on high(4-6 hrs.) or low(6-8 hrs.) Should be able to shred with a fork. Place meat mixture in tortillas and top with your favorite toppings!

More than just a piece of art ....

This is a post I have been waiting to share with you, ever since I purchased this original !! Artwork in Egypt !

Beautiful, right ??

I finally got round to hanging the canvas last night ;)

This beautiful artwork was hand painted by the super talented Ibrahim, who was based at the hotel we stayed in ...

This is my family, all 6 of us and the beach, pier and the lovely beach seats..

This painting, is more than just painting for me, every time I look at it, it takes me back, the heartfelt memories, the sun, the laughs, the togetherness... It represents the beauty of Egypt..

It's a constant source of inspiration.. I was so inspired how people made a living from their creativity, jewellery making, art in sand, painting and so on ..

One of my favourite things to was was to admire Ibrahim's art work the next morning.. And watching him paint was something else ..

I am so glad I made the decision to invest in one of his paintings, it was carried with love, through hand luggage all the way home.. The loving memories it reminds me of is worth every penny !

Here it is hanging proudly in my living room

Can't wait to recieve this package from studio calico, these colours and embelishments really are my favourites !!

My new craft space !! Last weekend and for most of the past week, I have had a huge !! Move around. This space used to be my daughters bedroom which was a loft conversion... But the two older girls decided that they would like to share rooms, so we made it happen!

My old craft room is now a sunny place to sit, which is still one of my favourite rooms in the house ;) and I have a new space, which I have yet to spend more than 15 minutes in :( hoping that today I will have an opportunity to get my craft on !!

Which ties in lovely with something that I have been thinking a lot about lately , cutting back on my spending :/

• Products for shop
• Supplies
• Advertising
• Classes , the list goes on ......

So my goal is to cut out my extra spending habits, no more impulse buying

Starting today til the 20th July I vouch to no more online spending ;)

Instead use the products and supplies I already have, no more advertising for the shop and probably what I spend most on is new products for the shop..

At the end of the month, I will reward myself with....
