Project Life Tuesday ..

Another week gone by, another project life spread :)

This spread is made using the "Midnight" collection, which is perfect for adding pops of colours hear and there..

I embellished using Amy Tangerine stickers and Die Cuts ..

This was a fun week too and it included a rare photos of my girlies all together !!

I am looking forward to starting a fresh, Project Life in January !!! I think I have a good system going that works for me , will you be changing how you Project Life next year ??

 My week 4 Project Life Spread...

The majority of this spread is made using Amy Tangerine "Cut & Paste" kit..  You may notice that there are 2 cards that aren't quite finished, that is because I decided to stitch those using Amy Tangerine Embroidery Kits ...

I have one stitch left to complete this lovely camera image...

I love stitching on paper , something so therapeutic about it. I usually mark out the template and then stitch them when the girls are in bed .. 

I think they add the perfect finishing touch ..

Happy Wednesday !!!

This week has been a productive one, in terms of completing projects that have been on my "to do" list for a while. I also spent most of Monday sorting out, moving around and hanging things up in my craft room. I feel as though its finally coming together..

This is what's on my desk this week , a little tidier than usual ..

My Amy Tangerine mini album, which i think will get completed by the end of the week..

A pile of Christmas goodies that i ordered from Shimelle  .. 

And a great buy I found at ny local Tkmaxx, Studio Calico Christmas cards , I started assembling them last night..

I also pulled out a Christmas stamp, to stamp in each one.

The Canvas I was working on last time is also finished and  now hanging on my wall :)

Project Life week 2

Happy Monday ...

Last week I shared with you my reasons for starting Project Life and the basics what you need to get started ..

This week I am sharing with you my week 2 spread ( I just finished last week yesterday , but currently working a week behind).

I am really enjoying the process, capturing those everyday moments, collecting memorabilia and putting everything together ..

I used my blush core kit and Amy Tangerine's Cut & Paste Project Life mini kit..

I love to stitch on my projects and trying to incorporate into each spread ..

Project Life !!

I have always admired people who commit to a year long project. Some of my favourite bloggers create weekly project life spreads, I have always wondered how do they make time ??

Project Life is something that I have always wanted to have ago at, but wasn't that sure where to start, after words of encouragement from blogging friends and Instagram, I figured why wait until January to start when you can start now..

I suppose everyone has a system that works for them and I think its important that you find something that works for you! I will share more of works for me over the next few weeks..

To begin with I needed to figure out how I was going to simplify something that I thought was going to be complicated. Truth is, is not complicated at all in fact once you get started you will be asking yourself, "why didn't I start this before"

Essentially you need 3 items to start with , Album, Pockets and a core kit .. There is so much to chose from, the hardest part is deciding which ones ..

This is what I chose.

And this is my first weeks spread .

This is my favourite card ..

Its Really fun and therapeutic when you start .

WOMWD #4

Happy Wednesday !!

We are mid-way through the weeks school holidays. Its been lovely to have the girls at home and not have the usual routine in place ... that being said not as much crafting has been going on, but that's ok.


Here is what my desk looks like....

I like to think that this is a little more organised than usual ??

My white storage basket is now filled with embellishments and stamps (loving the Amy Tangerine alphabet stamp) and papers for my Project Life album !!! yes i started last week and am loving the process !!! I like to store my bits and pieces in these baskets as it allows me to create on the dining room table, then when i have finished easily put everything back and take into my craft space (the loft).

Whilst I love the clean look on my scrapbook pages and projects, i do enjoying having a play with gesso, modelling paste ect. Canvas are perfect for this and i love to hang them in my room after, here is a little close up ...

And someone caught me taking photos this morning and wanted to say "hello" too ...

How could I say no ???? hehehehe..

Amy Tangerine "Day Book" Holiday Album ..

This Holiday mini, has been a work in progress over the past couple of months.. I have picked it up and worked on it as an when i could..

Last Thursday I finally finished it , although i have a couple of pages at the back left for journalling..

But I thought i would share with you some photos, I love how chunky it turn out ..

  

I used a variety of Amy Tangerine embellishments through out the mini.. They were a perfect match..

I think it will be a lovely mini to look back over in the years to come :)

Now onto my project .....

Happy Wednesday ...

I have to say I am so glad this week is almost over. the girls have a weeks holiday from school next week and I am so ready for a bit of a rest ...

This is what my work desk looked like yesterday afternoon..

The sun was shining through the loft windows and it was raining.. perfect !!!

It was stressful day yesterday, this was the ideal setting just to relax a little..

On my desk...

A little package i am putting together for my Pen Pal , which is now ready and waiting to be mailed..

That white basket is where I am working on my Amy Tangerine "day book" filled with memories from our family holiday, I did manage to add some journalling to the pages I have completed so far ..

I also have a mini album that is waiting to be filled with photos :)

My plans for today include a lunch date with my baby girl and maybe a trip to Hobby Craft ... what better way than to spend the afternoon ??? I am thinking of starting Project Life ...

Current projects (WIP's)

I thought it would be fun today to share with you a few of my current projects that are on my desk..

Here is my "Happy Little Moments" book this is a class I am currently taking over at Studio Calico.

The blue basket that you see has all the papers, embelishments, thickers etc.. I try really hard to put everything back into it once I have finished. Once I have finished this book the basket will be emptied and used for another project..

This project isn't even started yet, but I have everything together to start!

This is an Amy Tangerine "hello" day book, which I want to create a mini album of our holiday to Egypt in, so as you can see I have a couple of postcards, recipes, hotel band and other memorabilia to include..

I have already chosen some papers, journaling cards, thickers ect to include into the album .. Everything is kept inside the white basket.

Last is this beautiful card which needs finishing.

The butterflies need colour adding, cutting and gluing. The the card need assembling..

Can't wait to recieve this package from studio calico, these colours and embelishments really are my favourites !!

My new craft space !! Last weekend and for most of the past week, I have had a huge !! Move around. This space used to be my daughters bedroom which was a loft conversion... But the two older girls decided that they would like to share rooms, so we made it happen!

My old craft room is now a sunny place to sit, which is still one of my favourite rooms in the house ;) and I have a new space, which I have yet to spend more than 15 minutes in :( hoping that today I will have an opportunity to get my craft on !!

I love how Amy has embellished her day book. I still have yet to complete my book from our holiday to Egypt.... Hoping that today will be the day to start....

 

Happy thoughts of our holiday have been in my heart, still very inspired by this beautiful place ..

Travel fabric pouch

Something that has been sat patiently waiting to be sewn together has been this fabric pouch, which I managed to finish a couple of afternoons ago..

I was inspired by this travel pouch.

Our family holiday is only a few days away and I was determined to take a journal with me to capture the memories ;)

Here is the back ...

I loved hand embroidering one of my favourite sayings "do what you love".

It's filled with a Amy Tangerine Day journal and embelishments, washi tape, tape, mini envelopes, ribbon, notecards and a note book ...

 

 

I also sewed in a little pocket using some of my favourite fabrics.

Here it is all filled up and ready to go !!

It was nice to sit and sew, even if it was only for a short time ;)
