Doing what you love ....

This past weekend I had the opportunity to "Do what I love"

It's not very often (at all) that I have a day off, especially on a Saturday ! But that's when great family comes in to help look after the girls, so I could spend the day paper crafting !!

It was lovely to learn new techniques, work with new products and spend time with other people who have an equal love of paper..

Here's what I crafted !!

I made this cute hostess box, which you can keep notecards and envelopes.

Gift card holder :)

Mini card , loved this stamp set and co-ordinating punch !!

And I also made a mini album, which is the project right at the back, here is the inside...

I loved making this, I am planning on making another one for my mums birthday ...

I also made a thank you card for my aunty who looked after my girls.

All the products used on the day were by Stampin Up including the stamp sets and punches ...

It was a great day, lots of laughs and giggles and it was nice to see Victoria again !!

Here's to doing what you love !!!!

Friday Favourite .... sequins

I don't know about you, but I love anything that has a bit of a shimmer and sparkle !

That's one of the great things about paper craft, you can take the things you love and included them in your creations.

That's why today I added pocket hearts filled with vibrant sequins to the shop, so you can add a touch a shimmer and sparkle to your layouts...

( see yesterday's post for a card using a Mason Jar Stamp and sequins! Love)

So, Sequins are this weeks Friday Favourite.

What's yours ?

Mini note book

Whilst I love to scrapbook and work on layouts, sometime i just don't get the chance :( however I do love to create quick and useful projects with paper.

This mini notebook is great for using up those scraps and also as a last minute gift..

My notebook measure 4.5" x 4.5" but you could make yours any size you like..

This is definitely a "nap time" project from start to finish.

Gather up your scraps, odd embellishments, ribbons and chip board.

Cut your chip board to the required as well as your notebook paper, I used a mixture of plain white paper and patterned paper.

Design both the front and back of the chip board, embellish.

Punch a hole in the too left corner and add your ring binder, for a little something extra I tied ribbon onto the ring too!

That's it !

How do you use up your scraps ?

Welcome and a new start !

Welcome,

If you have followed me over from Polkadot pretties, hello and thank you for following me over as I embark on a new and exciting journey through scrapbooking and paper craft. If your new here, I am really looking forward to getting to know you!

Why Lemon Paper Designs ?

Lemon Paper Designs started as my online etsy shop, I have so much fun filling my shop with a variety of die cuts and embellishments I had thought about having 2 blogs Polkadot pretties and Lemon Paper Designs, but lets be honest 1 blog is enough for me !

So in order to stick to doing what I love I have decided to start again with this blog showcasing paper, scrapbooking and inspiration!

New Goals

  • At least 3/4 posts per week
  • Start to use Vine for occasional video posts ;)
  • Better interaction with readers
  • Create a community of like minded people
  • Enjoy ! And do what I love !

So, to kick start the community feeling I have a question for you, I would love for you to leave me a comment below :)

Here's the question : " do you scrap with paper or digital supplies ?'

I scrap with paper and at the moment 6x6 layouts are my favourite size ..
