Shoes, we have been shoe shopping for back to school, lets just say shopping with 4 girls ages 11,9,6 and 2 is no easy task...

Video Games, this week the girls have played (not always together) on the PS3.

Tasting .....

Yummy chocolate pizza at my friends house this week, it has inspired me to have a go at making my own, chocolate, strawberries and cream , my idea of heaven .. yum yum !!

Feeling .....

Photos, i recently ordered from Origrami . They came yesterday and i couldn't be happier, looking forward to including the prints in mini albums and layouts..

So that's been my week, how about yours ???

Prima Frame

You all know by now how much I love Prima embellishments, when i found this tutorial i instantly fell in love ... so much so, i ordered the class kit and eagerly awaited its arrival ...

I love the colours and the resin embellishments too... 

I sprayed the flowers and resin with Perfect Pearls Mists (Biscotti) I hadn't realised until uploading this photo that the spray looks like rain!!!! how pretty ...

Gotta love these flowers !!!!

How true is this saying ???? , not sure if i am going to add anything else to this frame or just leave it as it is??? What do you think ??

The only problem with the frame is that you can't hang it up, which is a shame, so for now i have found a little place for it to be displayed, out of the way of little hands ;)

And if your wondering, that is another basket with WIP's .... which i must finish !!!

Sunday Inspiration .....

Hope you have had a great week ???? This week has been a lot calmer and I have been able to joy some crafting with the girls and having no real plans, just enjoying the moment..

I rarely have any time for sewing, these days .... which makes me sad, so i have been looking for simple projects to complete and i love these fabric flowers, they could also double up for mixed media embellishments.

Lots of ideas for my Art Journal, i love experimenting with different mediums, colours and embellishments an Art Journal is the perfect place to keep everything together, i started a Pinterest board , which you can see here....

Its still the summer holidays, so mostly i hear my girls, its been hard at times but i love having them home all day.

Tasting .....

One of my favourite lunches is Jacket potato with cheese and mushroom ( i have this almost everyday)

Feeling .....

Kitchen work surfaces, yeap we are looking into re-doing our kitchen, which is kinda fun... but i want to make sure that i get it right and that i am completely happy before we commit to anything ...

My 5 Favourite Craft Tools ........

I thought it would be fun to do a mini series, sharing a variety of my 5 favourite things, all craft related of course..

Today i am sharing my 5 favourite craft tools .....

This was fairly easy for me to decide on, as i use these almost everyday ....

1. Prima - Ingvild Bolme - Craft Knife , i honestly love this knife, it is so easy to use, it makes cutting out those awkward flowers easy to cut...

2. Tim Holtz - Edge Distresser, this is great for adding texture to your paper. I like the added interest it creates on your projects.

3. Beacon 3-1 Glue , I have tried many glues over the past year, but for me this is the best.

4.Corner Punch - I picked this corner punch up at my local craft store, it wasn't expensive and it is compact enough to keep in my carousel (another post on that later) the rounded corners on a project are a perfect way to polishing of your project.

5. ATG - This is a fairly new purchase and i am still getting used to it, and i hadn't realised that the refills where as expensive as they are , but the tape does seem to last a long time, so maybe the refills are worth it ??

Chipboard Mini Album ....

I have to say making time to craft on an evening (when the girls are asleep) has been good for me! Some much needed therapy time after fun packed days with the girls..

This chipboard mini album took me two nights to complete, mini albums are a great way to use up paper scraps and embellishments..

I really like how this album turned out, i used Melissa Frances Paper coordinating  die cuts and Prima flowers .

Here is what it looks like inside...

I was thinking of adding a pocket in the centre, maybe for a pen ?

Here are some close ups of the inside ... A mini notebook and an accordion style fold tag pockets..

I love the romantic look of this album. By using chipboard to create the album allows it to stand on its own, right now it is stood looking pretty on my desk, not sure to give it as a gift or keep for myself ???

Sunday Inspiration

The past couple of weeks have been really busy and i have been unable to post my usual "Sunday Inspiration" post ..

Today is calmer and i am looking forward to a much more relaxing Sunday, well as relaxing as it can be ;)

Art Journaling, i am currently working on my own art journal at a local class. I love how it is allowing me to experiment with different mediums and colours and define my own style , looking forward to sharing with you all soon :)

I am always on the look out for new, simple, tasty dinner ideas that the girls will like too.. these sound perfect ;)

Dump 1 envelope of taco seasoning, 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts a jar of salsa in the crockpot, stir and cook on high(4-6 hrs.) or low(6-8 hrs.) Should be able to shred with a fork. Place meat mixture in tortillas and top with your favorite toppings!

Lovely Prima flowers, almost all my projects this week have included these gorgeous embellishments, can not get enough of them!!

Hearing ..... 

Lots of children's TV programmes , Mickey Mouse, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First and Curious George are firm favourites in our house, well with the younger 2 anyway :)

Tasting .....

At the moment, a strong cup of Tea and a crunchie :)

Feeling .....

I have been trying to use different mediums in my projects , so using stencils with gesso and of course using fingers is always great fun !!

August BAP (Prima Sketch Challenge)

If you have been reading my blog over the past few months, you will know how much i love Prima Products!!

I was so happy to find that they have a monthly sketch challenge!

Its really difficult to find a UK based stockist, with a wide range of products, so the main problem i faced with this challenge was using 90% Prima products, however i did order a class kit directly from Prima last month and was able to use the papers in the layout ...

Here is the sketch.

Here is my layout inspired by this sketch ...

I love that these colours co-ordinate with the colours of the photo, which by the way is my oldest 2 girls on our family holiday earlier this year, those water guns kept them entertained for hours and hours ....

The paper is from the Leeza Gibbons "Wishes & Dreams" collection

Whats on my Work Desk .....

It has been a busy, busy past few weeks...

I am glad that all the celebrations have come to an end and that I am able to enjoy some quality time with the girls before they return back to school in the next few weeks...

I have tried to make sometime for some midnight crafting at least every other night. its the perfect remedy after a stressful day..

So here is what's on my work desk ...

I have a few finished projects like, the Prima Scrapbook page and the Prima Frame, which I need to find the perfect place for....

I also have a (WIP) Work In Progress.. a mini album and an unfinished card ...

 

 

 

I need to finish the pockets and attach them to the album and then the fun part embellish it !!!

 



I also have a basket where I keep all my WIP and fun embellishment's, papers and miscellaneous items...

Lots of cream!!! We have had 2 large celebrations this week, which has meant dessert making has been in full swing !! I have tried new recipes and experimented with old ones.

Right now, the soft, new keys on my notebook !!!! a surprise, belated birthday present from my hubby !!!! looking forward to uploading pictures from my camera to show you, being able to drag and drop !! and all the other great features, that you cant yet do on the Ipad ..

Prima dolls....

It's been crazy busy around here these last few days and probably will be until the rest of the week ...

I recently bought a prima marketing doll stamp, which if you have t seen them are beautiful ... I was totally inspired by this video.

I made my own wall hanging, which is now hanging in my craft room ;)

I love that the stamp is so versatile and you could add her to so many other projects. So here are a few ideas ....

Rain and lots of it, so all gardening plans have been postponed until the weather improves :/

A mixture of cakes and homemade quiche, as I experiment in the kitchen :)

Right now, a strong cup of tea and a Crunchie (my comfort snack)

 

Feeling .....

Baby feet, my baby girl loves to have a feet rubbed, which is a gentle reminder to enjoy these moments as they won't last forever !
